IF IT’S STRAIGHT WE DID NOT DO IT

Bentwood Solutions LLC has been doing solid wood bending since1981. We currently have around 40 employees.

Our lumber is bought green from the mills, put on stackers with ample time to naturally dry.  Then it is put in one of our 4 dry kilns to equalize the moisture content to just the right percentage for bending.

- THE PROCESS -

Next, in our milling department, it is cut to the size our customer needs.

Now it is ready for the bending process.  We have      numerous methods to accomplish different shapes, but it all starts with steaming the wood prior to bending.

Steam is generated by a waste boiler where we burn the sawdust from the mill.  This allows us to utilize our own by-product, leaving no waste.

Once the wood is steamed, the bending begins.  This   process is done with wing benders, hot presses, or, in some cases, by hand.

Last is drying the wood.  Drying will ensure the wood will keep its shape.  Drying time varies from 12 minutes to a week, depending on the application used.

As a finishing touch, the product is sanded then shipped to the customer.

This is all done with customer service and quality products as our number one goal!

We also have the capability to manufacture table skirting, seat skirts, continuous arm bow, plow handles, chair legs, basically anything a  furniture builder may need to design a piece of furniture that looks great and adds comfort to the end product.

We have recently started doing bending with radio frequency.
